ALEXANDRIA, La. (November 6, 2024) – Alexandria Emergency Hospital proudly celebrated five years of providing exceptional medical services and compassionate care to the Alexandria community and beyond with a public ribbon cutting ceremony on October 16. The event was held at the hospital, located at 5900 Coliseum Blvd.
The anniversary ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by over 100 people, including Deborah Randolph, the President of the Chamber of Commerce; Dr. Haywood Joiner, Chair of Allied Health at Louisiana State University of Alexandria; and representatives from several local banks, Rapides Hospital, the City of Alexandria, and Louisiana Central. Staff from Alexandria Emergency Hospital and Nutex Health were also present, along with many community members. The ceremony featured performances by the Alexandria Senior High School cheer team and the Alexandria Middle Magnet School band.
“In only five years, we’ve had over 60,000 patient encounters, and the number continues to grow,” said Dr. Kelvin Spears, Chief Medical Officer at Alexandria Emergency Hospital. “Good things continue to happen at Alexandria Emergency Hospital, and we wanted to mark our anniversary as a milestone for us and a stepping-off point to continue to do bigger, better, and greater things in the community.”
