ALEXANDRIA, La. (Oct. 3, 2025) — Alexandria Emergency Hospital is proud to announce its partnership with the City of Pineville Fire Department to provide comprehensive cancer and wellness screenings tailored to the needs of local firefighters.
This initiative comes in response to the newly enacted Louisiana Firefighters’ Cancer Screening Program (Act 554)requiring fire departments to ensure their personnel receive regular health screenings, with a particular focus on cancer detection and overall wellness. The Pineville Fire Department has selected Alexandria Emergency Hospital as its trusted healthcare provider to fulfill this mandate.
The hospital’s screenings include tests that address the elevated risks firefighters face due to their occupational exposures. These services are designed to detect potential health issues early and provide the department’s personnel with the medical insight needed to stay healthy and safe on the job.
